Reflection

We were asked to have a meeting by the chairman of the group ( Sultan Al Qubaisi ) to come up with solutions for the world pollution problem. The time of the meeting, the place and the agenda were set up and decided by the group. Roles were fairly divided by the team members. My role in the group was only to participate in the meeting and help with the agenda.

Every member in the group showed high interest in participating and helping with every task we had. Our mission was to come up with the best possible solutions to help reduce the pollution rate.

The meeting started with the chairman welcoming us and introducing the problem we’re discussing. He read the agenda and we discussed one problem at a time. The brainstorming began and everyone shared their ideas and solutions they thought may work; later we chose the best ideas that are most likely to succeed. The meeting ended by summing up everything we talked about. Then the chairman thanked us for attending the meeting.

Everyone was helpful and the ideas were practical. We all learned a lot from working together as a team. All in all, the meeting went very well and I was satisfied with the role I played in it.

Job Interview Report

CLZ
February 26th, 2013
Reporter: Abdalla Al mewali
The interviewee: Eisa Tayeb Al Awed

Eisa Al Awed applied for a job in ADNOC Company as an HR manager. The two interviewers were Mr. Hedley Butterfield and Sultan.
Eisa showed up not wearing the full proper attire where he was wearing a kandora but no ghutra (head wear). The interview started with Mr. Hedley asking Eisa to introduce and talk about himself. Eisa Tayeb Al Awed is 19 years old and was born in Abu Dhabi 1993, he studied in the Higher Collages of Technology in the business section for four years. He has a bachelor business degree in human resources and previous experience in Etisalat as a junior HR manager.

Eisa seemed very calm in the interview with a slight hint of confidence in him but not much preparation seemed to be made for the interview for he wasn't ready for all the questions therefore he took time in answering some of them. His poise was relaxed with his hands resting on the table and his body language showed a bit of nervousness mixed with confidence.
After introducing himself, Hedley passed the turn to Sultan to ask Eisa the questions. Sultan asked Eisa about his goals and Eisa showed passion and high interest by answering he has many goals; he aims to be in this company and work his way up to the top positions by gaining great experience.
He was also asked about his skills and he said he is very capable of working under pressure. The interview continued with Hedley asking him if he is ready to work at night or at weekends but he said he'd prefer working at daylight and weekdays rather than nights and weekends.

All in all Eisa seems like a passionate candidate looking for knowledge and experience. He may do great if accepted for the job.
